During our introductory courses, you will discover all the techniques required to play bridge competently & confidently anywhere in the world. Here are the topics you will cover:

Beginners' Class (4 weeks)

  Bidding Strategy Card Play
Week 1 The play of the cards - tricks & trumps Long suit tricks
Week 2 The Auction:finding a fit & Scoring Drawing Trumps & counting tricks
Week 3 Showing your shape, bidding notrumps, the game bonus. The Finesse
Week 4 Competitive bidding: overcalls & doubles Defensive play, leads & signals

The Next Step (4 weeks)

  Bidding Strategy Card Play
Week 1 All about notrumps: Stayman, weakness & strength Establishing tricks
Week 2 All about trumps. Locating a fit & Major suit fits Extra tricks by ruffing
Week 3 All about pre-empts: opening/responding/combating Managing your entries
Week 4 The Strong 2C: opening/responding/looking for slam Take that chance

Improving Your Game (4 weeks)

  Bidding Strategy Card Play
Week 1 5-card Majors:Bidding & Raising The cross-ruff
Week 2 Jacoby Transfers after 1NT & 2NT "Tapping" declarer
Week 3 Deep in the auction: showing preference, 4th suit forcing Suit combinations & planning
Week 4 All about duplicate. Play at trick 1
